Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Home Plate collects, uses, and protects information across the platform.
This policy must be reviewed and customized before public launch.
Information we collect
Account information. Name, email address, and profile details you provide when creating an account.
Organization information. Organization names, locations, branding, staff lists, settings, and configuration created by organization administrators.
Player information. Player profiles, teams, rosters, notes, and development records maintained by organizations.
Parent and guardian information. Contact details and account links between parents or guardians and the players they are authorized to manage.
Coach and staff information. Roles, permissions, schedules, and activity related to coaching and staff accounts.
Authentication data. Credentials and session information used to sign in securely. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider.
Scheduling and booking data. Bookings, lessons, events, facility reservations, and related calendar information.
Player development data. Programs, workouts, completion records, daily logs, and self-assessments.
Testing and performance data. Testing results, performance metrics, and analysis data entered by organizations, coaches, or players, or imported from supported data sources.
Messages. Communication sent through the platform between organization members, such as coach, player, and parent messages.
Uploaded files and profile photos. Files, images, and documents uploaded to the platform.
Payment and billing metadata. Invoice details, payment request records, transaction status, and billing history. Home Plate does not directly store complete card numbers when payments are processed by third-party providers.
Device information. Device type, operating system, app version, and similar technical details.
Analytics and diagnostics. Usage analytics, crash reports, and diagnostic logs used to improve reliability and performance.
Third-party providers
Home Plate relies on trusted third-party providers to operate the platform, including:
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions and organization customer payments. Card details are collected and processed by Stripe, not stored by Home Plate.
- Apple — App Store distribution and, where applicable, In-App Purchase billing.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.
How we use information
We use collected information to provide and operate the platform, authenticate users, enable organization workflows, deliver schedules and development programs, support payments and billing, communicate with users, maintain security, and improve the product.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as it is needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Organizations may have their own retention obligations for the records they maintain.
Security
Home Plate uses secure authentication, organization-scoped roles and permissions, multi-tenant architecture, and database-level access controls designed to keep each organization's data separate. No system can guarantee absolute security, and we encourage strong passwords and careful account management.
Children and minors
Home Plate serves youth baseball organizations, and player accounts may belong to minors. Player accounts for minors are intended to be created or authorized through a parent, guardian, or the responsible organization.
Parent and guardian authorization. Parents and guardians manage linked children through controlled access relationships and may contact us or the organization about a minor's information.
Organization responsibilities
Organizations control much of the information inside their environment — including player records, development data, and communication. Organizations are responsible for the accuracy of the information they maintain and for obtaining any consents required for their own operations.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
Account deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting support@homeplateapp.com or through the support page. Some records may be retained where required by law or legitimate business needs.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of Home Plate after an update means you accept the revised policy.
