Payments

How payments work on Home Plate.

Home Plate is a software platform for baseball organization payments. This page explains how software billing, player access, and organization customer payments are structured.

In DevelopmentPayment and invoicing tools are being developed for participating organizations.

Home Plate software billing

Organizations may pay Home Plate for access to the software through a recurring organization subscription. This covers the platform itself — organization management, scheduling, player development, messaging, and business tools.

Player account access

Player access may be provided through organization licensing, platform subscriptions, sponsored access, or Apple In-App Purchase depending on the platform and final product configuration.

Organization customer payments

Participating organizations may use Home Plate to request payments from their own players and parents for real-world baseball goods and services.

Payment responsibility

Home Plate is a software platform. Independent organizations are responsible for the products and services they offer, their pricing, fulfillment, refund policies, taxes, and customer relationships unless otherwise stated.

Payment processing may be provided by Stripe or another third-party payment provider. Organization customer revenue is intended to be paid to the organization's connected payment account. Home Plate does not provide the baseball service itself.
